Report Reminder for
Diocesan Clergy

According to the Clergy Manual Guidelines, diocesan clergy are to report their Continuing Education efforts each year, by Jan 31 (2019 reports are due by Jan 31, 2020).

Clergy that are in active ministry, serving a parish, are expected to comply with these guidelines, pensioned or not.

Camp Mt. Luther

EVERYONE in the diocese is invited to join us on Saturday, May 30, at Camp Mt. Luther for a special Shaped by Faith event, Rooted in God: Sharing Our Stories.

The event will include a keynote speaker and workshops on ways to celebrate your parish’s stories. There will be no charge for this event. Registration will be available at the beginning of February.

Please join us in the Capitol Rotunda for a gathering to publicly acknowledge our Pennsylvania gun violence survivors and to affirm our daily commitment to them. This is the first and largest opportunity for the Chapter to gather in 2020.

February 1-8 will mark the second annual National Gun Violence Survivors Week—a week focused on sharing and amplifying the stories of gun violence survivors who live with the impact of gun violence every day of the year.

The next Bishop Out of the Box will be Ashes to Go on Ash Wednesday, February 26, at the State Capitol. Bishop Scanlan, Rev. Canons Morrow, and Streeter, and the Very Rev. Robyn Szoke Coolidge will be distributing Ashes in the Capitol Rotunda, East Wing.

Clergy Renewal of Vows Service

We will hold one Renewal of Vows Service the Tuesday BEFORE Holy Week.

This year, we are doing something different, and all clergy are invited to attend one service at St. John’s, Bellefonte, at 11 a.m. on March 31.

Shaped by Faith Clergy Conference

Celebration of the Anglican Studies Program, Lancaster Theological Seminary

You are invited to join us for a Celebration of Partnership between the Stevenson School for Ministry and the Lancaster Theological Seminary. The service of celebration will begin at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Lancaster Theological Seminary with the Rt. Rev Audrey Scanlan preaching.

A reception in the administration building will follow the service. Please join us and encourage others to celebrate with us.

Celebrate Christian Education & Formation Sunday

February is a time to celebrate all education, including Theological Education in your parish, the Diocese, and in our seminaries and formation schools. Choose a Sunday to participate, invite your teachers, colleagues, and communities to pray for the Church’s future ministers, and look for opportunities to mentor those among us who may be considering a call to ordained and lay ministry.

Attend our Learning Weekend in Danville at the St. Cyril Center, where we will celebrate with outstanding faculty and students. Dr. Deirdre Good and The Rev. Gina Campbell will guide us through our focus theme:  The Church and Change in a Time of Anxiety.

The cost is $50.00 per day and $150.00 for the weekend and includes lodging. Scholarships are available.
