The Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania is seeking a Bishop’s Executive Assistant and Associate for Events

The position is based in Harrisburg, PA, and is a full-time, in-office position.

Start Date: September 1, 2022.

Hours: 37.5 hours/week.

Salary range: $45,000-$50,000 depending on experience with superior benefits program: excellent medical, dental, vision benefits, 403B contribution, and generous vacation.

Job Description: Principle responsibilities include: managing a complex appointment calendar, including the schedule for visitations by the Bishop to 60 parishes over a two-year cycle; preparing Bishop’s correspondence and filing for all parishes and clergy; arranging all bishop travel; administrative responsibility for paperwork for candidates in the ordination process; serve in a support function for the bishop’s office with key diocesan committees; administrative responsibilities for Annual Diocesan Convention.

This position also functions as Associate for Events working to implement diocesan events as directed by the Canon for Communications and Events. The diocesan office is small, with a wide-ranging area of responsibility, requiring staff to work together or very independently as needed, to be creative and willing to take on new tasks and challenges. The position is M-F, 9-5, with occasional evenings and weekends as determined by the events calendar.

Requirements: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; collaborative and collegial; high degree of attention to detail; working knowledge of general office equipment. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
