Dr. Marion Schwartz
Becoming the Beloved Community, Writing Tutor
Marion Schwartz, a graduate of the University of Toronto (B.A. Hon) and Princeton University (Ph.D.) has taught English composition and literature at Penn State, SUNY Stony Brook and three church-related colleges. She has also done academic advising at Penn State and has published articles on honors education, academic decision making, general education, and other pedagogical issues. Now retired, she has served as convener of the Altoona Convocation, and helps lead the Anti-Racism Transformation Team. Besides teaching in the Beloved Community course, she tutors Stevenson School students who seek help with writing skills. She has been a member of St. Andrew’s in State College since 1987.
