Technology Support for parishes during COVID-19

Livestreaming
Congregations are encouraged to participate in the live streaming of services as we will provide them from St. James, Lancaster, and St. Luke’s, Mechanicsburg and our two cathedrals as their capacity is developed. These services will not include a congregation.
If you are interested in how to Livestream your church service, click here.

Facebook Live
Some clergy may wish to conduct services of Morning Prayer on Facebook Live as they are able. You do NOT have to log in or join Facebook to watch a live Facebook video but you do need a Facebook account to create a live video. For more information regarding Facebook Live, click here.

Listed below is a training video created by The Rev. Ingrid Andersen, St. Luke’s, Mount Joy.

Online Meetings

You can meet online via Zoom. If you need to create a Zoom account, you can do so, for free! To view plans, click here. To download the complete list of Zoom meeting instructions, click here.

Linking Zoom with Facebook Live
If you are interested in linking Zoom to stream on Facebook live, watch here but please read the security section below before proceeding.

Zoom Security
Due to recent security issues with Zoom, please read the proper security settings article from the Episcopal News Service. NOTE: If you have created meetings prior to the recent Zoom security updates, the settings will not take effect so please logon and change/update your settings. Make sure you are using meeting passwords, enabled “waiting rooms”, disable screen sharing and chat and learn how to remove a Zoom participant. View all meeting options here.
