About Stevenson School Of Ministry
The Bishop Dean T. Stevenson School for Ministry is dedicated to the lifelong learning and discernment processes of all Episcopalians in the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and beyond. The school seeks to make theological education available and accessible to all because it believes it to be essential to furthering the mission and ministry of the Church.
Stevenson provides education, training, and spiritual formation for individuals seeking to serve in official ministry as licensed lay ministers, deacons, and priests. The school serves as a resource for life-long learning and continuing education and formation in support of parish ministry by all the baptized. Using a unique curriculum that provides the best formation resources and grounded in educational theory, Stevenson has been providing ordination preparation for decades.
A ministry of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania, Stevenson stretches beyond those diocesan boundaries to provide flexible formation options to meet the needs of a 21st-century world and church. Are you called to join our learning community? There are many different ways to participate – with a single class, a lay ministry training, preparation for the diaconate or priesthood – we’re here to provide you with excellent offerings to help you hear God’s class and explore your discipleship.
