Anglican Studies

Stevenson School for Ministry provides six courses aligned with an Anglican Studies year. A diocese might require Anglican Studies if the student has received their M.Div. from an ecumenical seminary or have a non-Episcopal formation context.

These six courses can be completed in an academic year and provide foundational context for ministry within an Episcopal faith context.

Offering You The Best

A formal partnership has been established between Lancaster Theological Seminary/Moravian University and SSFM. Through this partnership, LTS/MU M.Div. students can receive an Anglican Studies Certificate while enrolled in the master’s degree programs (Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Ministry & Leadership). Find an overview of the LTS/MU and SSFM program requirements in the SSFM Student Handbook. LTS/MU students participate in advising with SSFM deans and are invited to the community learning weekends.

Whether you enroll in the Anglican Studies program at LTS/MU – SSFM is here to help you build your knowledge of the Episcopal Church and provide a strong foundation for your ministry and church leadership!
