This 7-week course will explore the dynamics of leadership in a congregation, identifying best practices for the stewardship of people and resources and the centrality of pastoral care. We will focus on seven common challenges which require and deserve careful attention to enhance the mission and ministry of a parish. Both clergy and lay leaders will receive practical support, including review of published materials, peer sharing, and mentoring.

February 17 Facilitating Growth: Every congregation needs a detailed plan for 3-dimensional growth: Height (mission), Depth (spirituality), and Breadth (membership)
February 24 The Craft of the Priesthood, part 1: Presiding and Preaching, Rites of Initiation- Baptism and Confirmation
March 3 The Craft of the Priesthood, part 2: Pastoral Care-Weddings, Ministry to the Sick, Funerals, Selfcare
