Preparations are underway for a combined effort between Derry Presbyterian Church, in Hershey, assisted by All Saints’ Episcopal Hershey to sponsor an Afghani family through Church World Service. Presently both churches are getting volunteers in place to help with specific tasks associated with helping the family get settled.
Training for volunteers will be conducted by staff from Church World Service in June. The contact people for All Saints’ are Joan Horn and Fred Hartman, both of whom are members of the Diocesan Migration Ministries Resource committee
