Bishop-in-Residence at Brookland Retreat Center

On November 17-21, diocesan members are invited to come to Brookland Retreat Center, set in the beautiful mountains of Pennsylvania’s Northern Tier, for a self-guided retreat while Bishop Audrey Scanlan is in residence. The Bishop will read the Offices in the All Saints Chapel each day and will also be available for spiritual and pastoral counsel. You can participate as you feel called, for however many days you wish, and stay onsite or nearby.

Onsight Lodging Option: Onsite lodging is provided in large, shared bedrooms in our Retreat House, one designated for women and one for men. Each has a maximum capacity of four. All bedrooms are on the second floor, which is not handicapped-accessible. Those staying onsite will bring their own bed and bath linens. The cost is $35 per person per night; sign up for as many as you wish, if capacity is available.

Offsite Lodging/ Commuter Option: If you wish for more privacy or accessibility, you can select the Commuter Option and book your own room at one of these local bed and breakfasts. The cost for commuters to take part in the residency program is $20 per person per day.

Meals: Each participant is responsible for bringing their own food. A well-equipped kitchen is available for preparing your meals.
