Come to a workshop identifying ways parishes across the country are reading the Bible together. Meet with others in the Diocese to learn how you can do this in your parish!

This workshop will be led by Dr. Deirdre Good.  Dr. Good earned her Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Harvard University, has taught extensively about the Scriptures at the General Seminary and Drew University, and currently teaches at the Stevenson School of Ministry. She is the Resident Theologian at Trinity Episcopal Church in New York City and acclaimed by her students for her accessibility and plain speaking about the Bible.

Priests and people doing this already note that reading the Bible unleashed energy in unanticipated ways: a tremendous enthusiasm emerged in the congregation for worship, bible study, and service in the community. A priest said, “This is the most exciting thing I’ve done in my ministry.”
