Pride Service, Luncheon, and Concert
June 1 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm
LEBANON, PA – St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, will be hosting You Are Loved – A Pride Service on June 1, the first day of Pride Month, followed by a light luncheon. A free concert by the Harrisburg Gay Men’s Chorus will be held that afternoon at 3 PM, as part of the St. Luke’s Friends of Music program.
This community service will reinforce that those who identify as LGBTQ+ are children of God who have a full and equal claim with all other persons to love and acceptance. The service will conclude with a community reception in the church auditorium.
A special choir is being formed to perform, made up of singers from throughout Central Pennsylvania. The Pride Choir will rehearse only once, at 9:15 AM on June 1 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church; they will then sing in the 10:30 AM Pride service. No audition is required, but the organizers ask that singers register online here.
Community choirs and church choirs that support the ideals of Pride may join as a group; please contact music@stlukeslebanon.org if interested.
At 3 PM, the Harrisburg Gay Men’s Chorus (HGMC) will perform their spring program, “A Choral Kaleidoscope.”
Founded in 1987, HGMC entertains the South-Central Pennsylvania region with a musical message of acceptance and joy. HGMC is a TTBB chorus that welcomes everyone who can sing in the tenor, baritone, or bass ranges. A freewill offering will be taken at this performance to benefit the HGMC.
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is located at 22 S 6th Street, Lebanon, PA. For parking and accessibility information, please visit www.stlukeslebanon.org/parking/.
